Izamna Handwoven Stripe Napkins (Set of 2)
These napkins have been created in the framework of collaboration with the United Nations Development Project, Mexico. A project through a series of workshops and training programmes has helped build sustainable business models for women living in rural indigenous communities.
The perfect marrying of modern colourful stripes with the traditional mayan motif of the diamond which represents the universe. These napkins were Hand-loomed on the ancient backstrap loom making them strong, durable and long lasting. Like all traditional mayan textiles, these napkins are designed to be cherished for years to come.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN
Made by an all women collective who work on backstrap looms in the mountains of Chiapas, Mexico. We partnered with this collective after visiting San Andres, a village famous for it’s intricate brocade designs and colour. Needless to say, we were not let down!
