Larrinaga Handwoven Cushion Cover
Imbued with spirituality, wisdom and love, our Larrinaga cushion is designed to the finest detail and finished to the highest quality. From the zig zag blanket stitches which tie together the width of the fabric, to the continuous hand woven stripe which flows through to the back of the cushion. Each cushion is deeply rooted in spiritual belief and cosmology. Mayan communities use crosses and diamonds to reflect the interconnectedness of the four cardinal directions and their relationship to the natural world. This cushion was created in harmony and balance between these directions, which were believed to be essential for the proper functioning of the universe.
Each cushion is finished with hand twisted ties which elevate the design creating the most luxurious of cushions.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN
Made by an all women collective who work on backstrap looms in the mountains of Chiapas, Mexico. We partnered with this collective after visiting San Andres, a village famous for it’s intricate brocade designs and colour. Needless to say, we were not let down!
