This cushion has been created in the framework of collaboration with the United Nations Development Project, Mexico. A project through a series of workshops and training programmes has helped build sustainable business models for women living in rural indigenous communities.  

Woven by hand this luxurious, zero waste cushion is crafted by indigenous women artisans who are dedicated to keeping their ancient craft and culture alive. The handwoven diamonds represent the path of the sun each day and the interconnectedness of the four cardinal points. Soft, natural, woven threads and hand stitched side seams elevate this versatile style.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN


Made by an all women collective who work on backstrap looms in the mountains of Chiapas, Mexico. We partnered with this collective after visiting San Andres, a village famous for it’s intricate brocade designs and colour. Needless to say, we were not let down!
