A small family run business situated in the remote village of San Baltazar just outside of Oaxaca. Modesto works with his wife, sisters, brothers and cousins on a small number of flying shuttle looms where they weave traditional patterns into their light, cotton textiles.

Angharad could feel the sense of happiness and encouragement this family felt when she visited them. “It’s not often, we get many British people visit our town, never-mind our workshop”. Although the family work with textiles to provide economic stability they also do it out of pure love for their tradition and heritage.
